Development and application of non-woven fabrics for garments

In people's minds, non-woven fabrics are products with simple processing techniques and low grades. In the true sense, non-woven fabric processing technology for garments can be simple or complex, and the products can be both high-grade and low-grade. Generally speaking, the processing process of the garment accessories is short and the process is simple, while the clothing fabric has a long processing process and a complicated process, especially for the finishing technology. For example, non-woven raising products, the former process is processed into a grey fabric by non-woven needle punching and/or stitching technology, and then brushed or sheared, steamed, tentered by needle punching or textile finishing. Shaped and processed.

China's development in non-woven fabrics is still in its infancy, and is currently limited to disposable garments in certain special fields, such as spunlace medical protective clothing, SMS medical protective clothing, etc. The development of ordinary civilian apparel fabrics is almost zero.

In fact, non-woven fabrics for garments can be processed into products similar to traditional woven or knitted fabrics, or combined with other processing techniques to produce three-dimensional and other traditional woven or knitted processes that cannot be processed. Unique style fabric. Its technical starting point can be high or low, the product style is unique, and the variety changes flexibly.

Spunlaced nonwoven fabric

The spunlace method is also called the spunlace forming method and the spunlace method. It is a kind of late development of non-woven fabric technology, which uses high-pressure fine-beam water flow to act on the web of the metal curtain net (vertically sprayed), so that the fiber is moved downward by the interstitial hydraulic force, thereby achieving entanglement between the fibers ( Similar to acupuncture), the web is reinforced. The spunlaced nonwoven fabric has the characteristics of soft hand feeling, bulkiness, high hygroscopicity and substantially no lint. The non-woven fabric produced by the spunlace can be used in the field of synthetic leather base fabric, shirt and home decoration. Among them, the wet spunlace nonwoven fabric has no shavings, and the seam tensile strength is twice that of the dry spunlace nonwoven fabric, and is especially suitable for the clothing field. Spunlaced nonwoven fabric fiber raw materials come from a wide range of sources, such as polyester, nylon, polypropylene, viscose and the like.

Representative of the spunbonded spunbonded nonwoven fabric produced by Freudenberg, Germany, under the trade name Evolon, which is a composite spunbonded filament web that is continuously impacted by a high pressure water needle to split the filament into different deniers (0.05 ~2.5dtex) fine denier filaments. Evolon spunbonded nonwovens have excellent mechanical properties, high moisture permeability and breathability, and soft handfeel. After the surface of the product is finished, Evolon has the same good washing performance and excellent drape performance as ordinary woven fabrics and knitted fabrics. According to the introduction, 70g/m2 Evolon nonwoven fabric can be used as a T-shirt, and 150g/m2 can be made into sportswear.

The University of Leeds, the International Wool Bureau and the BFF Nonwovens Company have successfully developed a spunlace wool nonwoven fabric with good resilience, withstand 30,000 bends without damage or breakage, can conduct moisture vapor and resist water, and can be adjusted. Heat, which is ideal for sportswear fabrics, is now being developed for use in outerwear such as pants and jackets.

At present, the application of microfiber spunlace in high-grade garment leather has a dominant trend. The garment leather made of it has good breathability, moisture permeability, drape, soft handfeel, lighter than leather and bright color. The fluff is plump and even, which is conducive to design and cutting. Compared with the leather, it can be washed, anti-mildew and anti-mite. It has been used in many countries for leather products.

Needle-punched nonwoven fabric

The needle punching method uses an external force to entangle the fibers in the web by a barb of the needle to form a felt fabric. The feeding curtain of the needling machine feeds the fluffy web into the bed board, and the needle board with the needle needle reciprocates up and down, so that the barbed needles are needled up and down on the fiber web. Part of the fiber is pulled into the net or the bottom of the net from the surface of the fiber by the barb of the needle, so that the fibers are inserted up and down to strengthen the skin. The needled web is output by another pair of output rolls. In addition to one-way acupuncture, the web can also use two-way acupuncture to improve the surface quality of the product. In addition, fancy needle punches can be applied to create a specific fancy effect on the surface of the product. In the needling process, the depth of needling, the density of needles, the type of needle and the arrangement of the needles are the main factors affecting the quality of the product. The needle punching method is mainly suitable for the production of medium-thick non-woven fabrics.

In addition to the unique style of non-woven fabrics for needle-punched garments, the processing cost is much lower than that of traditional woven and knitted products. Such as plain plain suede, fabric elastic fabric and acupuncture, fleece products, the processing cost is only one-third of traditional textile or knitting products.

Needle-punched napped nonwoven fabric can be used for surface modification of high-grade leather base fabric to achieve fine surface without needle marks and increased strength.

Stitched nonwoven fabric

The stitch-bonded nonwoven fabric belongs to the mechanical reinforcement method of the web, and is a nonwoven fabric which is formed by mechanically reinforcing the fiber web by using a warp-knitted coil structure. It uses the stitching yarn (or the fiber bundle in the web) to reinforce the web, the yarn layer or the non-woven material layer (such as foam, film, etc.) to make it Sewing and weaving nonwovens. In addition, it is also possible to incorporate a coil structure in a base fabric (woven fabric or stitch-bonded nonwoven fabric) to cause a loop effect to become a loop-type nonwoven fabric. Sewing and weaving fabrics are similar in appearance and feel to traditional textiles. Many stitching products are difficult to distinguish them from woven or knitted fabrics, unlike typical non-woven fabrics. Fiber mesh structure. Can be used to make suits, jackets, coats, fur coats and other outerwear.
