The Difference Between Non-durable Flame Retardant Fabrics And Permanent Flame Retardant Fabrics

Sep 28, 2019

Fireproof fabrics can be generally classified into non-durable fireproof finishing fabrics and permanent fireproof fabrics. The biggest difference between the two fabrics is that the latter has a permanent fireproof effect and will automatically extinguish once it leaves the fire source, causing no secondary fire. And not afraid of washing, feel comfortable. The fire protection effect of the latter is weaker than that of the former, and the fireproof effect is weakened or even disappeared after washing.

The weaving process of the two fabrics is very different, so the final fire protection effect and durability are also far from each other. Permanent fireproof fabrics are woven from permanent fireproof fibers in the previous weaving. Contains fire retardant, fire resistant polyester and nitrile chlorinated fibers. It has a permanent fireproof effect, the fireproof effect is not affected by water washing, and the hand feels soft and comfortable. It is also possible to produce fabrics of various specifications according to the needs of customers.

Non-durable fire-retardant fabrics are made of pure cotton, polyester-cotton or polyester fiber cloth after fireproofing. They have good fireproof performance but are not washable. They are not suitable for use in fire hazards.

The most obvious difference between the two is the fireproof effect after washing. The permanent fireproof fabric is not afraid of washing, but the non-durable fireproof fabric is not washable.

However, the quality of the two is not comparable. The application of the two fireproof fabrics is different. It is the best choice when to use the fireproof fabric in the right place. Only the fireproof fabric can maximize the energy efficiency.
